    S2 Elise, Exige Breather Catch Cans The Exige S can suffer from oil breathing issues due to the high revving nature of the Toyota engine and the fact that many of them are pushed hard on track. The principles behind oil separators / breathers is simple. Piston rings do not seal 100% and as a result, pressurised gasses from the combustion chamber leak through to the crank case area and pressurise the crank case and sump. The block then breathes through a pipe which usually feeds the vapour into the inlet system and the engine would then normally burn this nasty mix of oil vapour and condensation therefore potentially lowering the octane rating of your fuel, the effects of this are as follows; 1) Your engine could "Pink" or detonate 2) You will loose power Also an oily/dirty intake system will reduce the efficiency of your intercooler or charge cooler again lowering the performance of the engine.     TRUE HP OUTPUT - This unit can support up to 400BHP at standard Lotus fuel rail pressures, importantly this is achieved through the turbine pump’s efficiency and NOT from a high power requirement, which can cause fuel heating issues in some installations.

    DUAL INPUT DESIGN - As per the original AC Delco design the pump can take fuel from either the canister or the tank directly unlike eductor driven pump units. This has several advantages: - Virtually instantaneous HP output recovery from fuel starvation caused by fuel swash. Immediate recovery of the reserve canister refill cycle from empty as the pump itself achieves this. By comparison to an eductor system, in this situation the eductor is stalled and cannot refill the canister.

    RAPID CANISTER REFILL - Even when supplying the entire pumps output to the engine the pump will still fill the canister from empty to full in about 6 seconds, less at higher fuel rail pressures and even quicker when the return fuel is added if not at full power. This is easily the fastest refill we have ever tested, as a reference the original OE pumps being around 12 seconds and the latest OE pump being about the same. It is also considerably quicker than eductor powered systems, which are much slower.

    LOW POWER DRAW At around 6-7A it uses about the same power as the OE pump despite the substantial difference in output.

The efficient cooling of the charge air, higher performance can be achieved without compromising the durability of the engine. Objective in the EX460 development was a high-efficiency charge-air cooling, minimum charge pressure losses and low component weight in conjunction with a smaller cross section. We were able to meet all requirements. To integrate an efficient intercooler core into the existing charger system, it was necessary to replace the original intake manifold to a completely newly developed component. The new intake manifold is made of milled aluminium from a solid and takes the intercooler, injectors and the supercharger. By intercooling it was now possible for us to optimize the boost pressure and the ignition timing to thus achieve an output of 455 hp, particularly noteworthy is a maximum torque of 490 Nm. By using the optimized standard supercharger, a significant improvement in power and torque in the mid rev range is achieved. This is due to the supercharger is working more efficiently. The thermal load on the engine-specific components decreases due to the lower charge air temperature. The supercharger is the standard component but with a charge cooler system . At the front of the vehicle we install a heat exchanger cooler to cool down the water for the intercooler core (in the intake manifold). The water circulation is powered by an electrical water pump.     Komo-Tec V6 Gearbox oil cooler Kit (All V6s and 350 Sport Exige) Not 380/410/430 as these have factory fitted coolers This kit improves the cooling capacity of the transmission oil by use of a separate oil cooler, thus ensuring less wear and an improved shift quality. At oil temperatures above about 125 °C, the shifting quality of the gearbox is significantly reduced, because the function of synchro rings is reduced. You may notice this by a higher force required to change gear. An important aspect of this problem is to improve the cooling of the transmission oil. The gearbox oil cooler radiator is positioned in right hand side air scoop to allow efficient cooling. The kit contains the hoses and fittings as well as an electric oil pump. The pump is not running permanently and is controlled by a special thermostatic switch.   • Elise S S3 Komo-Tec ZR265 Kit

    Komo-Tec ZR265 Kit Performance Data ZR265: approx. 263 hp / 275 Nm Performance Data Series: approx. 220 hp / 250 Nm (factory data) In order to give the new Elise S (2ZR) even more performance, Komo-Tec have developed the ZR250 kit even further. The new 1.8 S (2ZR engine) differs from the previous 1.8 SC (2ZZ engine) It uses a completely new engine ZR-generation and a supercharger which is now equipped with a water-to-air-cooled charge cooler. With the current 1.8 S, the weak point is now mainly the exhaust system. The original exhaust manifold has very small diameter and the pipe lengths are not optimal. Therefore, Komo-Tec use a 4: 1 stainless steel exhaust manifold with optimized pipe lengths and a 200cpsi HJS sports catalyst. The result is an amazing sporty sound, without being intrusive. To optimize the air-intake as well, a TRD Airbox forms part of the kit. In addition to the ZR250 Komo-Tec increase the supercharger boost-pressure ratio by using another pulley. The required software tuning-file changes the ignition angle, the injection time and the camshaft phase and achieves approx. 263hp power and about 275 Nm torque.     Evora S V6 Komo-Tec 460 Kit (Not 400 Series) Performance Data EV460: approx. 455 hp / 480 Nm (IPS: ca 448 hp / 470 Nm) Performance Data Series: approx. 350 hp / 400 Nm (factory data) EV460, the first Exige V6 with water-cooled intercooler The main difference between the EV460 to the EV430 system is the water-cooled intercooler. The efficient cooling of the charge air, higher performance can be achieved without compromising the durability of the engine. Objective in the EX460 development was a high-efficiency charge-air cooling, minimum charge pressure losses and low component weight in conjunction with a smaller cross section. We were able to meet all requirements. To integrate an efficient intercooler core into the existing charger system, it was necessary to replace the original intake manifold to a completely newly developed component. The new intake manifold is made of milled aluminium from a solid and takes the intercooler, injectors and the supercharger. By intercooling it was now possible for us to optimize the boost pressure and the ignition timing to thus achieve an output of 455 hp, particularly noteworthy is a maximum torque of 490 Nm. By using the optimized standard supercharger, a significant improvement in power and torque in the mid rev range is achieved. This is due to the supercharger is working more efficiently. The thermal load on the engine-specific components decreases due to the lower charge air temperature. The supercharger is the standard component but with a charge cooler system . At the front of the vehicle we install a heat exchanger cooler to cool down the water for the intercooler core (in the intake manifold). The water circulation is powered by an electrical water pump.
