  • S1 Elise and Exige Fuel Pump Unit

    ELISE S1 HP FUEL PUMP UNIT Using the latest turbine architecture and a very high build quality this unit outperforms every other pump unit option for the S1 in every department.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Please ensure all old fuel is drained and the tank flushed thoroughly. Stale fuel/ dirt / debris will damage the new pump and will invalidate the warranty.

    TRUE HP OUTPUT - This unit can support up to 400BHP at standard Lotus fuel rail pressures, importantly this is achieved through the turbine pump’s efficiency and NOT from a high power requirement, which can cause fuel heating issues in some installations.

    DUAL INPUT DESIGN - As per the original AC Delco design the pump can take fuel from either the canister or the tank directly unlike eductor driven pump units. This has several advantages: - Virtually instantaneous HP output recovery from fuel starvation caused by fuel swash. Immediate recovery of the reserve canister refill cycle from empty as the pump itself achieves this. By comparison to an eductor system, in this situation the eductor is stalled and cannot refill the canister.

    RAPID CANISTER REFILL - Even when supplying the entire pumps output to the engine the pump will still fill the canister from empty to full in about 6 seconds, less at higher fuel rail pressures and even quicker when the return fuel is added if not at full power. This is easily the fastest refill we have ever tested, as a reference the original OE pumps being around 12 seconds and the latest OE pump being about the same. It is also considerably quicker than eductor powered systems, which are much slower.

    LOW POWER DRAW At around 6-7A it uses about the same power as the OE pump despite the substantial difference in output.

    MODERN SENDER UNIT Latest sender design, not a wire wound rheostat. PLUG AND PLAY There is nothing to change on the car or recover from the old pump, the unit uses identical connectors for the fuel and electrics. A new tank seal is supplied and fitted.
